Job Summary

Collaborate with neonatologists, subspecialists, and obstetricians to guide the care of high-risk neonates and infants across Level III and Level IV NICU settings. Provide autonomous clinical decision-making and technical procedural skills while supporting nursing staff through patient care projects and formal education. Attend deliveries in person and via telehealth to support resuscitation at Legacy Level I nursery sites. Lead integrated discharge planning efforts that coordinate with respiratory therapy, diet, OT/PT, and lactation teams. Rotate between Randall Children's Hospital and Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center for 24/7 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires dual licensure in Oregon and Washington, NNP certification with prescriptive privileges, and minimum two years of NICU staff experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Dual licensure in Oregon and Washington
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an NICU Staff Nurse
  • Level III NICU experience preferred
  • Current applicable state RN license
  • National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
  • Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP)
  • Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges
  • NRP certification from the American Heart Association
  • 24/7 coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of ECMO certification course
