Job Summary
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, and obstetricians to guide care for high-risk neonates and infants across Level III and IV NICU settings. Provide autonomous clinical decision-making and technical procedural skills while supporting nursing staff through patient care projects and formal education. Attend deliveries in person at medical centers and offer telemedicine resuscitation coverage for Level I nursery sites. Lead integrated discharge planning efforts that coordinate with respiratory therapy, diet, OT/PT, and lactation to enable family care beyond the NICU. Requires current NNP licensure with prescriptive privileges, two years of NICU nursing experience, and ECMO certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current applicable state RN license
- National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
- Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP)
- Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an NICU Staff Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- Level III preferred
- Completion of ECMO certification course
- NRP certification from the American Heart Association
