Job Summary
BE/BC Neonatal Hospitalist sought to join an integrated neonatology team serving San Francisco Bay Area newborns across multiple campuses. Responsibilities include neonatal inpatient care and delivery attendance, night coverage with the in-house neonatal hospitalist team, active well-baby service support, neonatal transport and high-risk perinatal navigation, and coordination with subspecialists (including access to small baby unit, neurocritical care, and neonatal surgery) through partnership with Stanford Children's Hospital. At Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, hospitalists provide 24/7 neonatal care for primarily Level I newborns, with management of a 6-bed Level II Special Care Nursery, addressing respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding difficulties, and late-preterm infants (≥34 weeks), plus delivery room attendance and well-baby care. The role emphasizes family-centered care, collaboration with neonatology, obstetrics, and L&D teams, opportunities for teaching, mentorship, research, and leadership within a large multispecialty network. Required Qualifications
