Job Summary
Wheelchair Transport Driver delivering passengers locally on the road in Imperial, CA. Responsibilities include pre-inspection checks on vehicles, assisting clients with entering/exiting vehicles, providing door-to-door service, and driving clients safely to destinations. Must be familiar with driving region, able to navigate via GPS, and capable of handling duties for elderly passengers; driven by customer-service mindset and strong communication. May be required to work a flexible schedule; the employer emphasizes safety, compliance with background and drug screening, and adherence to DOT-related requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- High school graduate or GED equivalent (preferred but not required)
- CPR/First Aid card preferred but not required
- Familiar with driving region and GPS usage
- Experience with elderly population preferred
- Background checks and drug/alcohol screening required
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background and drug screen
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, push up to 150 lbs, and perform physical tasks as required
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
