Job Summary
Conduct pre-inspection checks on all vehicles and ensure proper storage of items before driving clients to and from destinations safely. Assist clients with getting in and out of the vehicle, providing "through the door" service while maintaining courteous and friendly customer service. Navigate the local region using a GPS and cellular phone, adhering to a flexible work schedule. Lift up to 50 LBS and push up to 150 LBS as physical requirements demand.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license
- Must have a valid specific state driver's license of posted job location for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years
- Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Must be able to push up to 150 LBS
- Must be able to bend from the waist
- Must be able to pivot from waist
- Must be able to move from a standing position to kneeling position back to standing
- Must pass pre-employment screening - background and drug screen which includes alcohol screening
- Must be able to pass the physical test
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Valid CPR/First Aid card
- Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles
- Drivers should be familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas
- Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS
- Experience working with the elderly population
- Non-DOT Physical
- Bilingual in another language in addition to English
- Self-motivated and responsible
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Willing to go the extra mile
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
