Job Summary
Transport patients to various locations in medical vehicles in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while observing all traffic rules. Inspect vehicles before shift for fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes, and steering; notify supervisors of defects. Operate wheelchair and gurney lifts, instruct clients on safe riding rules, and communicate with dispatch. Complete trip documentation via phone applications, report accidents or incidents, and keep assigned vehicles clean and fueled. Follow safety and COVID protocols and adhere to a full-time schedule. Wheelcare Express, Inc. has served Northern California counties for over 40 years, transporting disabled clients to medical appointments and engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Ability to pass alcohol & drug test
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training course
- Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical
- Must have a positive attitude
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be empathetic
- Must be polite
