Job Summary
Oversee direct supervision of youth at Urban Peak Denver shelter and housing programs, ensuring a trauma-informed, safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities include supervising youth in accordance with facility rules, crisis intervention, group facilitation, accurate data collection and timely data entry, maintaining client confidentiality, and coordinating with multiple departments to provide trauma-informed care and appropriate referrals. The role requires documenting intake and services, assessing youth needs, developing plans, and providing milieu supervision to support safety and positive youth development. Strong focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous care coordination with staff and partner programs.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college; OR a high school diploma or equivalent AND one (1) year of experience in the human services field
- Must be QMAP certified or eligible for QMAP certification
- Must be insurable as a driver on Urban Peak’s auto liability policy in order to conduct business on behalf of the agency or transport youth using an Urban Peak vehicle and an approved personal vehicle
- Ability to pass both federal and state background checks
- Ability to pass pre-employment TB Screening
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination
- Provide proof of education (HS Diploma OR Official Transcripts)
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to communicate in a second language (Spanish, Vietnamese, ASL) preferred
