Job Summary
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals in a residential setting, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining a clean living environment. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive resident behaviors while respecting privacy and confidentiality. Safely transport patients to medical appointments, errands, or community locations, documenting activities accurately and providing emotional support during transit. Assist with lifting and transferring individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices. Maintain a clean background, hold a valid driver's license with a clean record, and possess reliable transportation. Complete a TB test, CPR certification, and pass background checks. Represent the company professionally in scrubs, adhere to all health and safety regulations, and demonstrate the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong understanding of patient care procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate demeanor
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and assisting patients with mobility
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Valid and up to date car insurance
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Clean background
- Pass background checks
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- 2+ years experience
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks
- Knowledge of first aid procedures
- Ability to respond to emergencies
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to get a CPR certification
- Must have reliable transportation
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Wear professional attire (Scrubs)
- Be able to maintain composure during difficult situations
- Be respectful towards clients regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, etc.
- Follow all company rules and regulations
