Job Summary
My MediRides is hiring a daytime Monday–Friday driver in Tampa, FL to provide non-emergency medical transport to patients for doctor visits, dialysis, physical therapy, pharmacies, and other medical appointments. Responsibilities include safely transporting passengers, reporting moving violations, adhering to federal/state/local traffic laws and PTI policies, performing vehicle inspections, delivering reliable and courteous customer service, coordinating pickups to ensure timely arrivals, reporting defects or missing items, maintaining confidentiality, and following all company policies. Qualifications include valid state driver’s license, preference for a vehicle under 7 years old, residence within 30 minutes of the applying location, at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience, age 30, ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, MVR check, background check, and driving performance test, no physical impairments affecting driving, fluency in English, ability to use GPS/roadmaps, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and ability to bend to inspect a vehicle’s undercarriage.
Required Qualifications
- Have a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment
- Prefer on vehicle (vehicle must not old than 7 years)
- Must live within 30 minutes of the location for which you are applying
- Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience
- Be 30 years of age
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, background check, and driving performance test
- Must not have a physical impairment preventing him or her driving safely, or from performing the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to read, write, and converse in English
- Must be able to use a GPS/Technology System, read and understand roadmaps
- Ability to lift and pull up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to bend to inspect the undercarriage of a vehicle and tires
