Job Summary
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems involved in utility-scale solar and wind energy projects. Key duties include ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards, interpreting electrical schematics, and setting major equipment such as breakers and switches. You will work in various weather conditions and require a state-issued journeyman electrician license, knowledge of OSHA regulations, and the ability to travel extensively to job sites. Preferred candidates will have experience in renewable energy or large-scale projects, as well as familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
Required Qualifications
- State-issued unlimited journeyman electrician license or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen
- Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel)
- Must be able to work consistently outside, frequently in inclement weather
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working on renewable energy projects or large-scale construction projects
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Forklift, skid steer, mini excavator, trencher, and/or manlift experience
