Job Summary
Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment, then conduct tests to detect discontinuities using RT, MT, PT, and UT methods. Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, and conductivity meters while applying testing criteria per applicable standards. Establish examination techniques ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, organize test results, and perform specialized inspections. May instruct and supervise others. Requires Level III ASNT certification with CR/DR experience and NADCAP audit history. This laboratory role in Bensenville, IL, supports asset protection for critical energy and industrial infrastructures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have Level III with ASNT in RT, MT, PT, and/or UT
- CR/DR experience
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Experience in report writing
- Must have NADCAP experience with audits and accreditations
- Must have aerospace experience
