Job Summary
NDT/NDI Level II Inspector – Radiography Testing role supporting SpaceX programs (Falcon, Dragon, Starship, Raptor). Responsibilities include performing surface and volumetric NDE inspections, interpreting and reporting findings to production and engineering teams, reviewing engineering drawings, supporting development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries, contributing to R&D of ultrasonic technology for operational improvements, and assisting in training others within the team. Requires a High School diploma or equivalency and NDE Level II RT certification per ASNT-TC-1A/NAS-410/DoD guidance; preferred candidates have 2+ years of Level II NDE/NDT experience, diverse NDE method certifications (UT, PAUT, ET, DR, CR), familiarity with NASA 5009 and relevant standards, and basic software literacy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- NDE level II certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) per ASNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 or DoD guidance
- 2+ years of experience as a Level II NDE/NDT inspector (preferred)
- Nondestructive evaluation Level II certification in UT/PAUT/ET/DR/CR (preferred)
- Operational experience inspecting weldments and castings (preferred)
- Knowledge of UTEX InspectionWare or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience with NASA 5009, AMS/AWS/ASME/ASTM standards (preferred)
- Problem solving tools (PPS, 8D) and lean principles (5S, kaizen) (preferred)
- Basic computer skills (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) (preferred)
- Must be able to lift 25lbs and stand for extended periods (required)
