Job Summary
Develop, approve, and oversee NDT methods, procedures, and work instructions for FPI, MPI, EC, and UT techniques while ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality systems. Train, certify, and mentor Level I & II NDT personnel to maintain robust training programs, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to evaluate indications, support root cause analysis, and improve repair processes. This role requires ASNT Level III certification in PT and MT, minimum five years of NDT experience in aviation or aerospace environments, and strong knowledge of FAA Part 145, ASTM, NAS, and SAE standards. Required Qualifications
- ASNT Level III certification in PT and MT (active and current)
- Minimum 5+ years of NDT experience in aviation/aerospace (FAA Part 145 or OEM environment)
- Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145, ASTM, NAS, SAE, and related standards
- Proven ability to develop procedures, lead teams, and maintain precise documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with multiple NDT methods (UT, RT, EC) on complex aircraft components
- Strong troubleshooting skills with NDT equipment and calibration processes
