Job Summary
NDT Level III sought for an Aerospace client in Chicago, IL. Core duties include directing and participating in training and development for NDT procedures and methods, preparing samples for non-destructive testing, monitoring and auditing NDT processes, reviewing NDT specifications for internal, customer, and industry standards, leading investigations into NDT anomalies to define root cause and institute corrective actions, and maintaining NADCAP accreditation. The role requires performing and reviewing laboratory tests (Nital Etch, Mag Particle, Fluorescent Penetrant), providing technical support across departments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. Strong knowledge of materials (steel, aluminum, magnesium, titanium and alloys), and experience with aerospace NDT methods and related standards is preferred. Compensation is based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year technical degree in applied science
- ASNT Level 3 Certification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a NDT laboratory environment
- Membership to ASM, ASTM, ASNT or other societies related to aerospace NDT studies are a plus
