Job Summary
Conduct infrared thermography inspections across field and shop locations, setting up and calibrating equipment while operating and maintaining tools as needed. Interpret, evaluate, and document results by analyzing information skillfully and editing numerical data effectively. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, working with minimal supervision to deliver quality outcomes. Manage competing demands and adapt to frequent changes in the work environment, maintaining confidentiality and promoting safety procedures. Carry 35 lbs frequently in plant atmospheres around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- LVL II or LVL III
- Valid Washington State driver's license/clean driving record
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Graduate of a specialized Thermal/Infrared Testing technical program meeting the minimum requirements of ASNT-CP-105
- Prior certification as an IR Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as an IR Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II
- Must be able to communicate with clients, supervisors and co-workers
- Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures
- Must be physically fit and able to carry 35 lbs. frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred
