NDT Inspector (LV III)

Job Summary

Oversee non-destruct testing on machined metal structural components using FPI, ECI, and Ultrasonic Inspection processes to identify defects like fissures and weld breaks. Ensure Level II inspectors certify hardware per NDT methods, review difficult inspections, and manage calibration of testing equipment. Provide engineering support, mentor inspectors, and act as an OJT instructor while participating in investigations and process improvements. Interpret test results against applicable specifications, mark items with acceptance or rejection status, and recommend corrective actions for production problems. Adhere to strict safety regulations and FAA audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • Completion of two years of an approved post-secondary science or engineering program and/or equivalent combination of education
  • 3 years of verifiable NDT Level II and/or III - related work experience in non-destructive testing
  • documented certified training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and work instructions
  • Certified Level III in 3 methods: Etch/FPI, Immersion Ultrasonic Sonic Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection
  • NDT Level III
  • 5 - 7 years of directly related experience in non-destructive testing
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations
  • Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
