Job Summary
Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment in accordance with industry requirements. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods, establishing techniques for proper examination and adhering to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria to evaluate results and organize reports. May train others as needed and perform other job-related tasks assigned by management. Requires 2+ years of experience with the FPI method, Level 2 certification with 400 hours, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time 2nd shift role with comprehensive healthcare, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with FPI method
- Must be able to provide documentation such as OJT and certs for PT Level 2 (400 hours)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for at least 50% of shift
- Able to read, write, and understand English
Desired Qualifications
- Formal training hours (classroom 32 hours)
- Previous experience adhering to quality inspections
- Visual acuity and color vision
- Accurately interprets inspection results, and apply strong mechanical aptitude
- Communicates clearly and effectively in verbal and written form; conducts themselves professionally and remains open to others' ideas and feedback
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, promotes quality standards, provides feedback, and actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement
- Able to absorb and process information quickly, prioritize and plan work activities, adapt to changing schedules, and adjust to a dynamic work environment
- Comfortable working in hot and cold climates and in or around industrial environments while adhering to company policies, procedures, and organizational values. Ability to work in a safe manner
