Job Summary
Perform NDT inspections using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) methods on aerospace components. Interpret results to determine accept/reject criteria per ASTM, AMS, and NADCAP specifications. Set up and calibrate equipment, prepare inspection reports, and maintain logs. Train Level I technicians and participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits. Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and safety regulations while maintaining work areas. Assist in developing and reviewing NDT procedures. Requires ASNT or NAS 410 Level II certification and 2–5 years of aerospace NDT experience. Salary $25–$35/hr DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as NDT Level II in one or more methods per ASNT or NAS 410 standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in aerospace NDT or special processing
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, processes, and defect mechanisms
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic computer skills for reporting and data entry
Desired Qualifications

- Experience in aerospace special processing (plating, heat treating, coatings)
- Prior experience in a NADCAP-accredited facility
- Multi-method Level II certification
