Job Summary
Local NDT Assistants/Trainees & NDT Level II Technicians needed to support the Greenville, SC office. Responsibilities include preparing components or equipment for inspections, assisting certified technicians, interfacing with personnel to determine scope of work and priorities, cleaning and organizing equipment, documenting on-the-job training, and performing examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications. Level II technicians must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified, provide guidance to trainees, interface with managers and clients to determine scope and priorities, prepare written instructions, organize and report examination results, and work independently while supporting the team. Work may involve shifts up to 12 hours/day, travel, and exposure to industrial environments, radiation, and hazardous materials; lifting up to 100 pounds; wearing safety equipment. Required Qualifications
- NDT Assistant/Trainee: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; math and print-reading skills; computer data entry and report writing ability; prior NDT classroom training or OJT preferred
- NDT Level II Technician: documentation of education, training, and experience in applicable NDT methods; working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; able to communicate with other departments and customers to report issues and solve problems
- Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pass a drug screen
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- U.S. Person designation for ITAR compliance
