Job Summary
NDL (Neurodiverse Learning) Teacher at Kairos Academies leads inclusive, data-driven instruction through co-teaching, small-group and individualized supports to help students with disabilities meet academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals. Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction with accommodations, monitoring progress toward goals using data, implementing IDEA-aligned interventions and universal design for learning (UDL), collaborating with general education teachers, coaching students in executive functioning and self-advocacy, and ensuring 100% compliance with federal/state special education laws, leading IEP development and related communications, and partnering with school leaders on service minutes and accommodations. The role emphasizes leadership in inclusion, professional development for staff, restorative practices, and participation in MTSS/SEL initiatives. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:00 PM, on-site in St. Louis, MO, with occasional evenings/weekends; compensation follows Kairos’ Teacher First Compensation (TFC) model with Professional: $60,000; Advanced: $70,000; Exemplary: $80,000+ plus a $3,000 signing bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid Missouri Substitute Certification
- Missouri Special Education Teacher Certification (or eligibility to obtain immediately upon hire)
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated experience supporting neurodiverse learners
