Job Summary
Conduct quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and specific requirements. Examine materials, structures, and components to identify defects such as flaws, cracks, and corrosion without causing damage. Analyze test results to determine if materials meet required standards and document findings in reports for engineers and managers. Perform Visual Inspection, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, and Ultrasonic Testing on metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems. Work Monday-Thursday in the 1st or 2nd shift. Previous ASNT-TC-1A certification and AWS CWI are required or a plus.
Required Qualifications
- NDE Level II Technician
- Previous ASNT-TC-1A certification including classroom training and OJT
- Experience in the inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems
- Current AWS CWI
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1st shift hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00AM-3:30pm
- 2nd shift hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30PM-2:00AM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems
- Current AWS CWI
