Job Summary
Conduct NCV tests on upper and lower extremities and assist physicians with EMG examinations. Prepare patients for testing, obtain and distribute EMG reports, and maintain files on all requests. Clean the EMG room and equipment, replenish lab supplies, and perform miscellaneous clerical functions. Work Monday through Thursday from 7-4 and Friday from 8-5. Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maneuvering sensitive equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic physiology and anatomy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Self-motivated
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to assist and position patients
- Ability to maneuver equipment
- Motor coordination to operate sensitive equipment
- Some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids
- Availability Monday - Thursday 7-4
- Availability Friday 8-5
