NCS Finish Fabricator

Job Summary
Perform MIG and TIG welding on race vehicle components, fabricate seat rails, steering columns, and carbon fiber molds, and install interior panels and foam to optimize driver ergonomics. Build and finish driver cockpit assemblies while interpreting NASCAR rule books and engineering drawings to ensure compliance. Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, drills, and torches to layout, measure, cut, and fit components with precise tolerances. Maintain production schedules, perform final inspections for structural integrity, and troubleshoot fitment issues to enhance vehicle performance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of fabrication experience
- Advanced MIG and TIG welding skills
- Strong fabrication and metal finishing skills
- Experience fabricating precision brackets, mounting systems, and structural components
- Ability to fabricate components requiring close tolerances and exceptional attention to detail
- Working knowledge of NASCAR technical rules and fabrication requirements
- Understanding of race vehicle ergonomics and driver fitment principles
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, engineering prints, and technical specifications
- Proficiency using fabrication shop equipment and precision measuring tools
- Ability to measure accurately using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet aggressive production deadlines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with fabrication, engineering, and competition personnel
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed
- Must be able to crawl in and out of vehicles
- Ability to access and navigate all departments within the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building molds and supporting carbon fiber fabrication
- AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel certification
- AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code – Sheet Steel certification
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly
