Job Summary
Coordinate all direct nursing services to patients and residents by collaborating with unit nursing staff and functioning as a geriatric nursing specialist. Serve as a resource to the staff on the units and to other institutional departments as necessary, ensuring alignment with nursing and medical practices, procedures, and laws governing long-term care. Maintain licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State while supporting a culture of healing and safety within our 345-bed facility.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program or an accredited College RN degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in long term care or a combination of long-term care and acute care
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long term care
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State
