Job Summary
Interpret real-time spoken communication between Jarai and English across on-site (Charlotte, NC), video remote (VRI), and over-the-phone (OPI) formats. Requires bilingual fluency, familiarity with interpretation ethics and HIPAA, and ability to work a flexible schedule. Responsibilities include accurate real-time interpretation, professional communication in both languages, confidentiality, and providing services on-site or remotely. Eligible to work in the U.S. with a valid driver’s license may be required for on-site assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Fully bilingual in Jarai and English
- Technologically proficient with Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (Green Card or higher)
- Clean driving record, valid driver’s insurance, and reliable transportation
- Able to interpret on-site, via video remote (VRI), or by phone (OPI)
- Accurately interpret spoken communication in real-time
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and interpreter Code of Ethics
- Manage your own flexible schedule and accept appointments as needed
