NC FEED MILL RECEIVING OPERATOR

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Forklift Certification or ability to obtain certification
• •Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (10+ feet), including on catwalks
• •Ability to work in seasonal, outdoor conditions (hot, cold, or wet conditions)
• •Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• •Basic reading and writing skills
• •Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers)
• •Basic mechanical ability to do repairs
• •Ability to read and understand written instructions
• •Good Communication
• •Ability to lift to 50 pounds
• •Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipment
• •This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment
• •The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection
• •This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of Butterball's Drug/Alcohol Screening & Testing Policy

Desired Qualifications

• •High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• •Previous experience in a light to medium industrial setting preferred, with preference given to individuals who have previously worked in a feed mill
• •Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
