Job Summary
Review client, matter, and billing information on intake forms for completeness, modify data as needed, and process DentonsOpen forms through Finance and Risk Review steps. Coordinate Jira requests, manage credit allocations, and oversee matter updates for the Departing Lawyer process and lateral hires. Lead the assigned team by assigning work, monitoring quality, resolving issues, and providing training. Monitor the DentonsOpen support mailbox, respond to end-user inquiries, and participate in the Global Enhancement Working Group. Review client release letters, work with IT on electronic file transfers, and assist with ad hoc projects. This role supports the New Business Intake process within Dentons US LLP, ensuring effective client and matter setup controls and compliance with firm policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience overseeing a new business intake process
- Proven ability to manage a team with diverse personalities, skill sets, and priorities
- Strong, credible leadership presence with the ability to guide, coach, and support team members
- Well-developed ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to ensure compliance with Firm policies and control procedures
- Ability to confidently and clearly explain problems and issues to partners and clients, and proactively contribute to resolution
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and effectively with individuals at all levels, both within a local team and remotely as part of a larger team
