Job Summary
NBCUniversal Local Bay Area Studio Tech Internship for Academic Year 2026-2027 involves assisting production crews with setup/strike for remote productions at Bay Area venues, helping with audio and video for in-studio pregame/postgame shows, assisting media management and ingest, operating studio cameras, and stage managing in remote or studio settings. The role provides hands-on experience shadowing Videographers, Technical Directors, and Audio Engineers, with opportunities to contribute ideas to optimize field operations and support day-to-day network operations. Requires active enrollment in a degree-granting program for Sept 2026–April 2027, sophomore or higher class standing, US work authorization without visa sponsorship, availability for 16–24 hours/week, and on-site work in San Francisco, CA. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bay Area sports knowledge are pluses; bilingual Spanish preferred. Compensation is $19.61/hour (approx. $40,788.80 annualized).
Required Qualifications
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program during the duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027)
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
- Must be presently authorized to work in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship
- Must be available to work 16 to 24 hours per week between Sept 21, 2026 and Apr 23, 2027
- Must be willing to work in San Francisco, California
