Job Summary
Universal Banker Trainee assists in Teller and Customer Service functions, processing transactions accurately, opening new accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs), and providing cross-sell recommendations. Builds long-term customer relationships, collaborates with branch specialists, and contributes to branch sales targets while ensuring adherence to bank policies and procedures. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and strong math, computer, and communication skills; prior banking/teller or customer service experience preferred. Occasional travel may be required; role located in Brooklyn, NY at the Boro Park branch. Salary range offered per hour: $19.50–$25.48.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years banking experience preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Experience operating an Adding Machine preferred
- Good Computer Skills required
- Previous Teller Experience preferred
- Prior customer service skills preferred
- Prior cash handling skills preferred
- Selling to customers’ needs preferred
- Excellent communications and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift and transfer coin bag (approximately 30 lbs.)
