Job Summary
Support the Navy PEO (SUB) Program Office as the Navy Qualified Validator responsible for the Risk Management Framework. Provide information assurance expertise to government Program Managers overseeing Undersea Acoustic Systems, Combat Submarines, or Imaging Systems. Oversee cybersecurity risk assessments within the RMF Assessment and Authorization process, review RMF packages, and certify residual risk. Conduct independent assessments of management, operational, and technical controls to validate that systems have implemented approved security control baselines. Assist prime system integrators in evaluating cybersecurity documentation to support acquisition milestones and authorizations to operate. Requires Level II or III Navy Qualified Validator certification, active SECRET clearance, and seven years of relevant DoD experience. Salary range $115k-$175k.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or relevant field (technical or managerial discipline)
- 7+ years of relevant experience demonstrating proficiency in areas discussed above for DoD and business IT systems and the phases of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process
- Certification as a Level II AND/OR III Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) as defined by DoD Instruction 8510.01 - Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT)
- Demonstrated leadership and strong communication and customer management skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Active SECRET Security DoD clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in Information Assurance (IA) or Certification & Accreditation (C&A) related field
- Familiarity with and understanding of Navy IT sites, systems and infrastructure
- Experience working with Navy C&A efforts as a Navy Validator
