Job Summary
Navy Nuke - EMN/MMN/ETN transitioning into a Data Center Power/ Cooling Systems Engineer to support critical data center clients. The role focuses on creating, implementing and supporting critical power and cooling solutions while ensuring compliance with contractual commitments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and running diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on critical facilities equipment; developing project plans, briefings and presentations; operating state-of-the-art systems (including medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, paralleling switchboards, UPS, PDU, mechanical heat rejection, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression, and building monitoring systems); ensuring SOPs/MOPs are followed; and reviewing schematics/one-line diagrams for equipment servicing. The position emphasizes 24x7x365 operations and aims to leverage Navy nuclear training toward leadership opportunities in the critical facilities market.
Required Qualifications
- Navy Nuke trained - EMN (Electrician's Mate Nuclear Trained) or ETN (Electrical Technician Nuclear Trained) or MMN (Machinist Mate Nuclear Trained) or equivalent military nuclear training
- Experience with Electrical/Mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities
- Knowledge/experience with critical facilities operations (Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC equipment such as UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDU, CRAC/CRAH units, DC power systems, building monitoring/control systems)
- Ability to troubleshoot, operate, maintain and perform PMs and EM repairs on data center infrastructure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to review schematics and one-line diagrams
- Experience in operations within 24x7x365 environments
