Job Summary
Navy Field Engineer / Technical Support Specialist to support NAVSEA/NSWC Philadelphia Division as part of an ISEA team. Responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, remote technical assistance, cybersecurity, networking, and systems administration for deployed IT and mission systems aboard U.S. Navy vessels and shore facilities; conduct shipboard assessments, engineering investigations, and support fleet modernization and technology insertions; provide training to fleet operators; generate technical reports and recommendations; ensure compliance with cybersecurity baselines and RMF/STIG requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum four years of military service (preferably U.S. Navy)
- Experience supporting information technology, networking, cybersecurity, communications, or mission systems
- Windows and Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Network troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Hardware installation, maintenance, and repair
- TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Technical documentation and reporting
- Cybersecurity best practices and system hardening
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in operational fleet environments
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance
