Job Summary
Provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while assisting with basic care and recovery needs. Support the unit through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance. Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and front office personnel to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes. Perform functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge, advocating for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy and dignity. Maintain a safe environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting room searches, and reporting unsafe conditions. This role operates on a night shift (19:00–07:30) with a 6-shift schedule per pay period at Navos IP, an inpatient psychiatric unit within MultiCare's Behavioral Health Network.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date
- If assigned to Navos Hospital, BLS certification is required prior to starting
- If assigned to Navos Hospital, First Aid training is required prior to starting
- If assigned to Navos Hospital, Food Handler's Card is required within first two weeks of hire date
- Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR) credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire
- The credential must be obtained upon issuance by the Department of Health
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field preferred and/or in lieu of education, will take 1 year of experience
