Job Summary
Nurse Navigator within the Phase 1 clinical trial program team serving as the primary liaison among patients, referring physicians, and START staff. Responsibilities include educating referring physicians about the Phase 1 program and trials; performing referral intake; leveraging technology for improved patient matching and care coordination; scheduling Phase 1 appointments and linking patients with community resources; presenting new and ongoing trials to physicians and staff via virtual and in-person platforms; coordinating case conferences and tumor boards to support multidisciplinary cancer care; maintaining accurate, timely documentation for patient tracking and study monitoring; participating in administrative meetings, protocol reviews, and site visits; upholding confidentiality and integrity in clinical presentations; contributing to program growth through referrals and accruals; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
- Specialized certifications as needed (Oncology certification preferred)
- 3-5 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience preferred
- Clinical trial experience preferred
- Open to travel to referral offices for presentations
