Job Summary
Conduct 1:1 high-quality, specialized behavior intervention services for individuals with autism disorder, development delays, and related disabilities through planned interventions including discrete trials and antecedent/consequence modifications. Design and conduct functional behavior assessments, create and maintain individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress toward established goals while modifying plans as needed. Provide clinical services across various settings, deliver monthly supervision hours, and coordinate care with medical providers, school districts, and therapy services to ensure consistent communication. Maintain accurate documentation, complete quarterly reports for funding sources, and participate in intake, inactivation, and Individual Program Plan meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in ABA or related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- LCSW
- Current CPR certification
- At least 2 years of supervision experience working with individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working with individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities
- Prior experience in managing challenging behaviors and implementing behavior reduction treatment plans
- Programming experience in areas of Verbal Behavior, ADL, IADL, TA, skills teaching, caregiver education, and staff training
- Previous experience working with adults
- Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Competence in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA)
- Experience with conducting the following assessments: AFLS, Vineland, EFL, and VBMAPP
- Demonstration of strong understanding of scope and sequence of skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Fluency in electronic data collection and curriculum
- Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, One note, Team)
- Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
- Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups, and maintain positive affect
- Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate good judgement, and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- Ability to pass a post-offer crisis management training
- Ability to pass a physical examination
- Ability to pass a TB test
- Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity
- Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements
- Ability to travel locally (e.g., residential homes, day program, etc.)
- Maintenance of driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards
- Maintenance of auto insurance and vehicle registration
- Ability to work weekends or holidays, when required and per identified needs
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
