Job Summary

Oversee daily operations of the Navigation Center office and supervise Case Managers delivering direct client assistance across four key programs: Coordinated Entry, Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Re-Housing, and Homeless Youth Services. Conduct training on data entry, operational procedures, and safety; review timecards; and resolve operational problems by creating or revising policies and procedures. Collaborate with government entities, faith-based organizations, and local businesses to develop a cohesive system of care. Assist in creating case plans, approving direct client assistance, and resolving client grievances while responding appropriately to emergencies. Effectively de-escalate potentially violent situations and work compassionately with individuals in crisis.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, OR 3 years of experience in homeless services or supportive housing services
  • 2 years or more of supervision experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure and time-sensitive environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (data management, formulas, reporting) and Outlook (professional communication and calendar management)
  • Technical Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master specialized client tracking systems, database software, and proprietary electronic health/client record platforms
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with proven ability to develop creative solutions
  • Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently
  • Well-developed decision-making skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel both individually and in a diverse, collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client, employee, volunteer, and donor information and situations
  • Able to remain calm in demanding and unpredictable situations
  • Ability to meet face-to-face with individuals of diverse backgrounds and disabilities, including physical, mental, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, etc.; able to develop rapport, provide information, and refer with sensitivity to cultural issues
  • Reliable transportation, valid California driver's license, and ability to qualify for organization's driver insurance coverage
  • Current tuberculosis test
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
