Job Summary
Provide Navigate services to individuals experiencing early-onset psychosis, adhering to the Navigate model of care and supporting modalities within a Coordinated Specialty Care team. Deliver direct services to clients aged 15–35 using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Transport clients to community settings, which may not be barrier-free, and apply crisis intervention and treatment methodology. This 40-hour, Monday-through-Friday role includes some planned evening shifts and is based at 1131 Ionia Ave NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology, Counseling or Counseling Psychology
- Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a master social worker, professional counselor, or psychologist
- 1 year of experience providing direct services to individuals that have experienced psychosis
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and treatment methodology
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Access to reliable transportation for job related use including transporting of clients
- Ability to perform work in community settings which may not be barrier-free
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the 15--35-year-old population preferred
- Training in CBTp strongly preferred
- MCBAP certification as a CAADC preferred
- Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy preferred
