Job Summary
Support the development, testing, acquisition, and integration of ship combat systems by providing inputs and technical support on behalf of the Navy program office throughout all phases of the combat systems development lifecycle. Deliver requirements development, system design, performance analysis, and systems of systems integration while working in a team environment with senior staff. Manage logistics and readiness assessments for combat systems, leveraging experience with operations, sensors, and weapons system integration onboard U.S. Naval ships. Maintain secret clearance and apply knowledge of DoD acquisition and logistics policies to solve complex defense mission problems.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with combat systems for the DoD or U.S. Navy as a civilian, military personnel, or contractor
- Experience with operations, sensors, and weapons system integration onboard U.S. Naval ships
- Knowledge of the combat system software development life cycle
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with U.S. Amphibious and Carrier platforms
- Experience with U.S. Navy platforms, combat and networked systems, surface and air-launched weapons, C4I, Sensor, and EW systems
- Experience with NAVSEA and Naval Surface Warfare Center programs
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition and logistics policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering field preferred
- Master's degree in CS, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering field a plus
