Nature Principal Consultant

Job Summary
Lead and deliver nature-related engagements across DIRO assessments, TNFD-aligned reporting, ESRS/CSRD disclosures, and EUDR compliance; provide technical leadership on biodiversity and ecosystems, SBTN target-setting, and risk-informed decision-making; manage multi-workstream client projects, translate complex frameworks into strategic business insights, develop reusable assets and training materials, and support business development for regulatory compliance opportunities; collaborate with digital teams to scale offerings and mentor consultants in TNFD, ESRS, EUDR, and DIRO methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in nature, biodiversity, natural capital, or ecosystem services
- Demonstrated expertise in nature-related DIRO assessments, including TNFD LEAP
- Strong working knowledge of ESRS E4 (Biodiversity & Ecosystems) and CSRD requirements, including double materiality and nature-related financial risk
- Experience supporting or advising on SBTN target-setting or equivalent science-based approaches
- Deep familiarity with TNFD, EUDR, SBTN, ESRS/CSRD, AFi, GRI, ISSB, and CDP (Forests/nature modules)
- Proven ability to assess value chain risks, land-use change, and ecosystem impacts
- Fluency in English (required for client delivery); Spanish is a highly distinct advantage
- Strong ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects and translate frameworks into actionable business strategies
- Experience working with multinational clients across diverse sectors (e.g., FMCG, retail, agriculture, finance)
- Ability to mentor and coach consultants; contribute to internal knowledge development
