Job Summary
Full-time Natural Resources Monitor on a large-scale government project in Laredo, TX. Responsibilities include providing daily environmental field notes with photographs to document compliance with project BMPs, collecting data and supporting surveys for listed species, conducting pre-construction surveys for nesting birds and state/federally listed plants and wildlife, marking off avoidance areas to protect sensitive resources, and effective communication with construction personnel, government personnel, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders. Requires a BS in biological sciences (or related field) and at least two years of environmental monitoring at construction sites; must be willing to work in inclement weather, travel as needed, and operate in the field weekly for an extended period. Must possess a valid driver’s license, pass a federal background check and drug test, and be comfortable working with GPS/tablet documentation.
Required Qualifications

- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Able to pass background check and drug test
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment
- Ability to work in inclement weather and in field conditions
- Strong written/verbal communication and documentation skills
