Job Summary
Assess, improve, and expand natural resources while investigating complex concerns in tandem with agency staff. Prepare and monitor plans to alleviate detrimental management impacts, review land use plans, and implement land improvement projects using specialized techniques. Coordinate collaboration with BLM staff, government representatives, and public land user groups to ensure proposed land uses align with BLM policies. Monitor and prepare technical reports, perform complex analysis, and maintain natural resources data according to prescribed standards. Provide on-the-job training for habitat monitoring, construction, and wildfire data management. Serve as the initial point of contact for local natural resources groups, resolving day-to-day issues and promoting cooperative conservation interests.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED Degree
- minimum additional experience of 20 year(s) in Agronomy and surface use multi-resource impact analysis for development of authorized activities
- Experience doing impact analysis of surface use and reclamation of disturbed area from permitted and authorized activities
- Experience required with Windows
- Experience required with MS Word
- Experience required with MS Excel
- Experience required with MS Access
- Experience required with MS Teams
- Experience required with MS SharePoint
- Experience required with ArcGIS
- Minimum Age:55

- The work requires performing both office and field work
- The office work is primarily sedentary and may require walking, standing, and carrying light items, such as books, small instruments or samples and other similar materials
- While at the field office, the incumbent may occasionally lift materials such as fence posts, barbed wire, and seedbags, etc. requiring lifting loads up to 50 pounds
- Field duties involve long hours of driving, hiking, climbing, and other forms of outdoor physical activities in remote locations
- Occassional project construction work may be physically demanding, such as building or removing fences, constructing wildlife guzzlers, developing springs, etc
- Field work will involve outdoor exposure including some discomfort in extremes of temperature or inclement weather
- Field work may subject the enrollee to hostile wildlife and physical hazards
