Job Summary
Natural Resource Engineer responsible for project management and design of water resource engineering projects, NEPA permitting, engineering report writing, construction management and observation; coordinates with government agencies, clients, and contractors; uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare documents; writes technical specifications and reports for diverse audiences; leads internal technical teams and manages profitability, with a BS in Engineering and 5+ years of experience and Montana PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Primary locations include Helena, Great Falls, or Billings, MT; full-time role with a benefits package including 401k, health and life insurance, disability, holidays, and loan repayment programs.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Engineering or related degree
- minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing natural resource projects
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana, or ability to obtain within six months
- Overseeing tasks/projects and clients’ expectations to scope, time, and budget goals for the planning, design, and construction of natural resource projects
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles
