Job Summary
Natural Product Specialist based in Portland, OR, focusing on strategic ideation and development of dietary supplement products. Lead conceptualization and development of product design; review and interpret scientific literature to support health claims and dosing; translate research into customer-facing content (labeling, blogs, product pages, point-of-purchase); collaborate with R&D to document functional ingredient specifications; spearhead sourcing of active ingredients with suppliers; prepare reports comparing product specs to market trends; stay informed on CBD/natural medicine industry developments; ensure product claims are validated and aligned with business strategy; collaborate with PLM/Brand/Sales/Marketing to ensure accurate product positioning and communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science or equivalent
- 3-7 years of experience in Product, Natural Medicine, Nutrition, or related field
- Experience translating scientific literature into commercial product applications and customer-facing content
- Skilled in preparing documents and presenting ideas to diverse audiences
- Data-driven with experience in complex data analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge or experience in the cannabis and/or health & wellness industry
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
