Job Summary
Develop and implement targeted communication strategies for Paramount ANZ programs and talent across print, broadcast, online, digital, and social channels. Pitch innovative ideas to generate buzz, build connections with journalists and key media organizations, and foster relationships with influencers to secure earned and paid coverage on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Coordinate talent interviews, screenings, launches, and briefings while writing engaging media information, press releases, and lines against enquiry. Anticipate and manage potential negative impacts by handling reactive crisis communications as required. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including agents, production teams, and unit publicists. This permanent full-time role in Sydney requires 4+ years of experience in media or entertainment with a strong track record in digital communications and crisis management.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years working in a similar role
- Experience in a wide range of communications functions
- An established track record of delivering high profile and impactful publicity campaigns
- An understanding of digital communications and crisis management
- An understanding of the media and television landscape
- Genuine passion for the media and television landscape
- Established positive relationships with media organisations and journalists
- A deep knowledge of both traditional and new digital and social media channels
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, social media or Advertising
- Creative, having the ability to think differently with an out of the box approach
- Tenacious, proactive, with strong organisational and planning skills
- Able to work at pace and adapt to changing deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Highly invested in producing outstanding work
