Job Summary
National Response Systems Effectiveness (NRSE) Specialist sought to provide operational groundwork and technical expertise to strengthen national response systems in emergency telecom, power, and water. Responsibilities include coordinating with National Disaster Management Organizations (NDMOs) and National Emergency Operations Centers (NEOCs), supporting implementation of NRSE projects (EC/ETC, Emergency Power and Water), conducting field-level assessments, assisting in Port Preparedness and Human Capital strategies, supporting training workshops and drill exercises, serving as a technical liaison with stakeholders, deploying on short notice as part of a Disaster Response Team, and assisting with budget tracking and resource management. Qualifications require three+ years in humanitarian aid or disaster response, two+ years in telecoms/energy/WASH in challenging settings, and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); certifications such as ICS 100/200/700/800 and project-management are desired. The role involves up to 60% travel domestically and internationally, remote US-based work with no visa sponsorship, and compliance with travel and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, International Development, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field; or Equivalent experience and training.
