Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate, and manage general liability claims from initial intake through resolution by reviewing documentation, photographs, and reports. Analyze liability, damages, and policy coverage while communicating with insureds, carriers, brokers, attorneys, and experts throughout the process. Coordinate with field adjusters for on-site inspections and prepare timely, accurate reports and claim diaries. Maintain complete documentation and ensure compliance with client service standards and reporting deadlines. Work independently to deliver accurate claim handling in accordance with industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial and residential general liability experience, and casualty losses
- Appropriate state adjuster license(s)
- National claims experience
- Experience with general liability losses, product, contractors, and reinsurance
- Experience with commercial and residential ISO policies including manuscript interpretations
- Knowledge of the independent claims adjusting business to include familiarity with local jurisdictional requirements and claim practices
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to plan and prioritize
