Job Summary
Provide care and treatment to patients with chronic renal disease, including completing pre- and post-treatment physical assessments and initiating or terminating dialysis treatments. Administer medications as ordered, assist physicians during rounds, and document monthly reviews of patient medication profiles. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement anemia management protocols and promote infection control monitoring. Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate while maintaining effective staffing ratios. Participate in staff training, attend in-service education, and lead team efforts to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of and comply with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care professionals practice act requirements
- Demonstrates effective staffing, as appropriate with staffing ratios per state regulations and effective patient care, under the direction of the Administrator
- Regular and reliable attendance
