Job Summary
Provide care and treatment to patients with chronic renal disease, including initiating and terminating treatments, connecting catheters, and performing pre- and post-treatment physical assessments. Administer medications as ordered, assist physicians during rounds, and document monthly review of patient medication profiles. Set up dialysis machines, ensure quality control, and maintain infection control protocols while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team for care planning. Supervise Patient Care Technicians and demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations. Maintain collaborative relationships with the Medical Director and physicians, promote guest service standards, and lead staff in team concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of and comply with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care professionals practice act requirements
- Demonstrates effective staffing, as appropriate with staffing ratios per state regulations and effective patient care, under the direction of the Administrator
- Regular and reliable attendance
