Job Summary
National Director of Procurement responsible for defining and deploying a national procurement strategy across Canada, developing strategic supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and monitoring performance. Leads a three-person team based in Mississauga. Collaborates with sales, branch managers, marketing, finance and operations to optimize inventory levels, procurement costs, and lead times, while enabling fast, data-driven decision-making. The role requires strategic vision aligned with growth objectives, adaptability in a multi-site, evolving environment, and an ability to translate local realities into coherent procurement approaches. Strong emphasis on KPI development, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support organizational speed and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in operations management, procurement, business administration or related field
- 5–6 years of experience in procurement roles, including team leadership
- Experience in a multi-site environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience structuring data (KPIs, dashboards)
- Excellent English proficiency; French bilingualism is a strong asset
- Ability to navigate fast-paced, evolving environments
- Proven supplier negotiation and relationship management experience
