Job Summary
Lead nonprofit accounting operations including close, GAAP-compliant financial statements, audits (A-133), and internal controls; manage grants and government fund accounting; oversee Financial Edge and Raiser's Edge integration; build scalable financial systems for a national multi-entity network; manage a team of ~3 finance managers; partner with HR on 403(b) compliance; ensure compliance with federal/state/grants; drive process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required
- CPA strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in nonprofit organizations; 12+ years preferred
- 5+ years’ experience managing and developing a team of direct reports
- Deep expertise in nonprofit accounting, GAAP, and grant compliance
- Strong experience leading audits and internal controls
- Experience with Single Audit (A-133) requirements
- Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge strongly preferred
